Wine Festival 2022. Commented tasting and wine and cheese pairing

Within the activities of the Valdepeñas Wine Festival, in its 2022 edition, and within the cultural activities programmed by hotel establishments to give more encouragement to festivals declared of national interest; Last Sunday, a commented tasting of La Encomienda wines paired with artisanal cheeses from the renowned Bolaños de Calatrava company, Quesos Cabesota, took place at La Antigua Bodega Los Llanos.

The event was attended by 70 people by prior reservation at the establishment. The participants were able to enjoy an event in an incomparable setting such as the cave of La Antigua Bodega de los Llanos, where history, culture and heritage come together with traditional and avant-garde cuisine.

The tasting was directed by the brothers Gregorio and José López de Lerma, on behalf of the cheese factory the presentation was carried out by the master cheese maker Lorenzo Chacón López. In it, they first tasted the Oretano 2017 aging wine paired with a soft cheese, then the Orissón 2017 aging wine was tasted, accompanied on this occasion with a cured cheese refined with virgin olive oil and to finish with the Himilce 2018 white wine. paired with an aged cheese refined with lard and rosemary.

The public enjoyed the celebration being able to interact with the organizers in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere with a high evaluation of the experience.
